New York is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around New York is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

A complete waste of $550 and the time I took off from work. This was an extremely basic consultation that could have been screened with a short phone call before taking my money. Dr. Tanenbaum spoke with me for about ten to fifteen minutes in one room, then moved me into another room and went over essentially the same information while typing it into the computer. He asked whether I could move my jaw up and down and whether I could eat. Because the answer was yes, he considered me functional and looked at me as though there was nothing else to evaluate. That is not what I consider a $550 evaluation. The office also told me I would need X rays and a CBCT scan. I brought my own recent imaging, yet it was never reviewed or even discussed with me. I explained that my tongue does not have enough space, my bite feels wrong on the right side, my jaw feels stressed and tight throughout the day, and my mouth feels unnatural while speaking and even at rest. He did not perform any structured testing involving my speech, lips, tongue, teeth, or jaw movement. He did not watch me eat or meaningfully evaluate my bite. My actual concerns were barely explored. During the appointment, he told me

I’ve been seeing Dr. Werfel for a few months now for my TMJ and I’ve only had positive experiences with her. She’s really been taking the time to understand my case and make sure all my questions are answered and that I am comfortable. She has been treating me with the utmost care and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to all my loved ones. A+

Where do I begin! The staff and the doctors are amazing. I had given up because I was told there was nothing that could be done regarding my condition. Dr. Tanenbaum created a mouth piece for me and for the first time since 2017 I actually heard my real voice. Because of my condition, I have sounded slurred and couldn’t pronounce certain letters, but with the mouth piece, I can. It’s not a cure but it is a miracle!! I have a new outlook on life thanks to this group of dedicated people. If I could give 10 ⭐️ , I would!!!

Dr Tanenbaum and Dr Werfel are first rate professionals. They are superb at what they do while ensuring minimum patient discomfort. In addition, Daniela is the best teeth cleaning expert technician I have ever had. The staff are friendly and helpful. The whole team is highly recommended.

I walked into a cheery office with the loveliest staff. I was impressed with Dr. Loshak who told me my pain was not stemming from periodontal issues. Rather than working on me, he steered me in the right direction. He has my respect and trust.

Hello—due to the language barrier, I was unable to communicate with Dr. Dinan! I speak Spanish and went alone, assuming that—as a private and expensive clinic—they would surely have a Spanish-language interpreter available. However, that was not the case. I paid a thousand dollars for an appointment that lasted less than an hour. I left unsatisfied because our only means of communication was Google Translate—both for him and for me. Consequently, I couldn't specifically articulate to him everything I am feeling and suffering from. They simply took my money, and for that very reason, I did not schedule a follow-up appointment; I just paid and left. We reached no conclusions with the doctor; he didn't tell me what condition I have or specifically what is causing my jaw deviation issue. I have had this jaw deviation for 12 years, and for the past year and a half, it has been causing me unilateral pain in my shoulders, neck, and head—specifically on the side of my deviated jaw. The splint costs $2,000, and the Botox injections for muscle pain cost $500—so now you have a rough idea of how much you would end up spending. Had they not failed to ensure they had a way to communicate with

This is genuinely one of the best practices! I went to Dr. Tanenbaum 8 years ago and my jaw was severely deteriorated from TMJ. He was amazing at helping me through my TMJ journey and recovery from surgery. I am now so much better and barely think about my jaw! Then, today, my sister’s jaw randomly locked while sleeping and she could barely open it. We tried going to a local doctor that turned us away stating we could not get an appointment same day anywhere and had to deal with it. Instead, we went to this office and the receptionists were AMAZING and so compassionate. They got us in within a couple hours to see Dr. Werfel for an emergency appointment who was a complete savior. My sister is now able to open her mouth and is starting a treatment plan moving forward. Dr. Werfel was so calming and great at what she does. Highly recommend this practice to anyone!!
